Mişcarea naţională a românilor din Sălaj între anii 1905-1906. II

  • Subiect: The National Movement of the Romanians From Sălaj County between 1905 and 1906. II This material follows the analysis of the evolution of the national movement of Romanians from Sălaj between the Memorandum and the National Conference from Sibiu (January 1905). In the introductory part the author presents basing on a large record office and newspaper written material, the social, and economic and culture state of the Romanians from Sălaj concerning the electoral campaign. Then the author dealt with the very moment of participation in the elections from Cehu Silvaniei and the effect of the defeat on local plan also caused by the development of the local national Romanian movement. The author also includes in this paper, the political evolutions and the participation of Romanians from Sălaj at the electoral campaign from 1906. Based on re-cord office and newspaper written data, the author deals with administrative steps of the authorities which are the mean causes of defeat in April and May at Cehu-Silvaniei. In the final part of the paper, the author speaks about the meaning of the Romanian local contribution concerning the electoral campaigns and the development in cultural and economic plan of the movement.
