Studiu despre structurile socio-profesionale în oraşul Constanţa la începutul secolului al XX-lea

Subiect: The city of Constanta belonging to „La belle epoque" is socially, ethnically and ocupationally stratified town. We can talk about a job-made mozaique: military men; ship crews; clerks; merchants; fishermen sailors; pubbers; clowns that are all doubled by smugglers, thieves; prostitutes; couch-potatoes; a Babylon of nations and customs which shows of! a bad morale, oft en do ubting, a world of egos, restless, oscillating between the extreme agita tion and the ap parent laziness during summers. All these give the city its special, unique flavour which is sometimes burlesque. Th ere are local phenomena such as the clan spirit, the rivalries, the mass-media circus or the hidden businesses of the underground, notorious world.
