Observaţii privind păsările şi mamiferele din zona Lacului Furtuna-Delta Dunării

  • Subiect: This study aimed to identify the structure of bird and mammal fauna represented in Furtuna Lake Delta area. Wildlife observations were made more frequently during the spring, summer and autumn. Within the Furtuna Lake area there are important habitats feeding and nesting for a large number of bird species, most of them being very rare or even accidental species. Also, over 19 species of mammals identified here highlight the importance of this area for wildlife in general. In addition to the unorganized tourism, overgrazing, the presence of several species of domestic animals, drainage, embankments and hydrophilous vegetation loss are the major anthropogenic factors that could lead to changes in the structure and size of wildlife populations.
