Rezultatele supravegherii arheologice de la Valea Stânii - punctul - Vărzărie"

  • Subiect: The Results of the Archaeological Supervising from Valea Stânii, the Vărzărie Point The settlement Valea Stânii from the Vărzărie Point was identified in 2005. The archaeological supervising took place between the 30 of March and the 3rd of April 2009 and it highlighted the stratigraphy of the settlement and some archeological complexes. The stratigraphy of the settlement: 1. The asphalt carpet (10-15 cm thick); 2. The gravel and rocks layer (15-20 cm thick); 3. Brown lances of ground (max. 10 cm thick); 4. The culture layer (15-25 cm thick); 5. The living ground The archeological complexes. Two almost equal garbage pits were discovered: the first one was full of remains of pottery and black ground, while the second one contained remains of animal bones and remains of pottery. Other two garbage pits having a 25 cm diameter were discovered; they were probably the wall of a surface dwelling. The pottery belongs to the Phase IV of the Tei Culture.
