Aspecte din lupta terorii fasciste pentru apărarea vieţii militanţilor revoluţionari din lagăre şi închisori (1940-1941)

  • Subiect: Under shelter of the fascist legislation, the military dictatorship of Ion Antonescu had adopted the cruelest repression against the revolutionary working class movement, against all the socio-political forces which pronounced themselves, in a way or another, against fascism and Romania's participation to the Hitlerite anti-Soviet war. Through orders successively released in these years, thousands of members and sympathizers of the Communist party, other antifascist militants were put into prison or interned into concentration camps. The problem of defending the lives of the revolutionary fighters and patriots in camps and prisons organically identified itself with the antifascist resistance movement of the Romanian people, organized and led by the Communist Party, embracing different forms of manifestation: material, juridical and moral aid. The moral support of the political detainees and prisoners, communist and antifascist ones, in camps and prisons, constitutes, alongside the abovementioned aspects, the subject of the present study. In this context, the author emphasizes the large 'propagandistic activity' developed through leaflets, the covert press organs, through different other means of protest and solidarity by the Patriotic Defence - a mass organization of struggle against fascist terror which activated in these years under the leadership of the Romanian Communist Party.
