Evaluarea ecocardiografică tridimensională computerizată a cineticii ventriculare pre şi posttransplant de celule stem la pacienţii cu infarct miocardic

  • Subiect: Stem cell transplantation after myocardial infarction is an innovative therapy which can lead to myocardial salvage and recovery of hibernated myocardium post infarction. Live computerized three-dimensional echocardiography is an objective method for evaluation of ventricular contraction, in order to select the target area for transplantation. In Clinic of Cardiology from Târgu-Mureş stem cell transplantations was performed in 4 patients with acute anterior myocardial infarction, at 6 weeks post infarction. In all patients, stem cells were injected in the left anterior descendent artery. Using the objective parameters of live computerized three-dimensional echocardiography, the target myocardial area for transplantation was identified with high accuracy. Target area was represented by the antero-basal segment in 2 cases and antero-medial segment in the other 2 cases. Improvement of symptomatology and of quality of life was recorded in all patients, with an increase of left ventricular ejection fraction from 40,7% to 45,5%.
