Variabilitatea arterelor hepatice

  • Subiect: The purpose of the present study is to remind the anatomy of the common hepatic artery, of its branches, as well as the most frequent possibilities of anatomical variation, the knowledge of which offers safety to the surgeon and diminishes morbidity. We have included in our study a total number of 40 cases which have been studied and described by a number of methods: 20 cases have been described macroscopically, 10 cases have been studied by back-dissection and 10 cases by hepatic corrosion casts. Our results were: in 38 cases (95%) the common hepatic artery (CHA) is a branch of the celiac trunk and in 2 cases (5%) it was a branch of the aorta. The right hepatic artery (not to be confused with the right branch of the proper hepatic artery) was found in 4 cases (10%) as a branch of the superior mesenteric artery. In the rest of cases there exists a right branch of the proper hepatic artery (36 cases-90%). The left hepatic artery (not to be confused with the left branch of the proper hepatic artery) was found in 6 cases (12,5%) as a branch of the left gastric artery. In the rest of cases there exists a left hepatic branch from the proper hepatic artery.
