  • Subiect: The material presents the first part of the small size vehicles from the area of Ţara Oltului (wheelbarrows, carts, plough wheels). The wheelbarrow, a one wheel vehicle with manual drive, was used for transporting manure, bricks, or gravel around the home and, more rarely, laundry to the river for washing or bags to the mill for grinding. The used terminology is presented, the types and structure of the wheelbarrows as well as how they were used and acquired, modernized from the wooden wheelbarrows to the metallic ones during the second half of the 20th century.
