Acte de vandalism şi neglijenţă în bisericile de lemn din nord-vestul Transilvaniei

  • Subiect: Every wooden church in Romania, as small as it is, as far hidden in the mountain villages, gathers an entire universe of great technical knowledge, meaningful symbols, artistic emotions, local philosophy, all acting for the human need to relate to a higher force. At the time of their building they were made with effort, struggle but alsa with hope and devotion,filled with those craftsman 's souls. Although these churches were made of rather perishable materials they managed to outlast hundreds of years. Nowadays, many of them are forgotten, abandoned, neglected or even vandalised, actions that cause uncounted damage to the whole ensemble, monument and murals. The wooden churches in Romania should be acknowledged as our national identities and protected by the natural factors that endanger them but alsa by the human aggressions, in their various forms.
