Traseul globe-trotterului Dumitru Dan (1914-1916)

  • Subiect: The route of the Romanian globetrotter Dumitru Dan (1914-1916) The present Study was set inside the Project “Walking around the globe. The story of 497 pairs of peasant sandals”. Project financed by EEA Financial Mechanism 2009 - 2014, through Program Conservation and Revitalisation of Cultural and Natural Heritage. The Project offered the chance to perform more detailed research in the country (various Archives and Libraries) and abroad (The National Archives of France, Pierrefittes. Paris and the Archives of the Ministry of External Affairs from France, Courneuve, Paris). A significant part of the present Study represents the chronological presentation of the Visas and Certificates issued by various institutions, authorities, societies, etc., documents that were obtained by the Romanian Globetrotter Dumitru Dan during the period 1914-1916 with references to the documents that are currently in the possession of Buzău County Museum, "Iulian Antonescu"' Museum Complex from Bacău. the Museum of Sports from Bucharest and to other sources, including the bibliographies in which this type of Certificates were mentioned.
