Documentele compozitorului Ion Rădulescu (1918-1989)

  • Subiect: The documents of the composer Ion Rădulescu (1918-1989) This paper aims to present the biography of the Romanian composer Ion (Ionel) Rădulescu, through the documents that are in the Ramnicu Sarat Municipal Museum's collection. Thus, we have 51 personal objects donated by Rădulescu's wife, Eugenia, on l6th of March 1999 (photos, documents, musical scores ). Ion Rădulescu was born in Ramnicu Sarat, on 5th of April 1918, and he followed primary and secondary school in the city. After graduation from the Conservatoire, he has remained in Bucharest as music teacher and became, in 1950, a member of the Union of Composers from Romania. During his activity, he has written the music for over 100 songs, some of them dedicated to the natal city. He passed away on 81h of July 1989, in Bucharest, being buried in the cemetery of Ramnicu Sarat.
