Etnolingvistica - cercetare interdisciplinară

  • Subiect: Linguistics and ethnology have in common most of their investigation methods. The research field in which the methods are applied to the study of the facts in both disciplines is hence naturally a border domain, since the investigation of the culture and civilization of a people and of the corresponding terminology takes place simultaneously; the centre of interest moves in both directions and thus serves both disciplines. The main methods used in both disciplines are: the „Wörter und Sachen” method, the linguistic geography method, the onomasiology method. Thus, the history of material and spiritual life reflected by the civilization and by the culture of an ethnic community may be followed with additional proofs by its linguistic reflex.
