Mori cu ciutură din judeţul Mehedinţi. Starea actuală a instalaţiilor hidraulice tradiţionale din Plaiul Cloşani şi Clisura Dunării

  • Subiect: Following the three research campaigns carried out in the county of Mehedinţi, we aimed to record the installations of folk technique from the studied localities. The research focused on Plaiul Cloşani and Clisura Dunării; thus, the study covered eleven mills with ciutură (horizontal hydraulic wheel) from five localities, all in different conservation states, from ruins to still functioning ones. Where it was appropriate, comparisons with mills from the county of Caraş-Severin were attempted, as well as a look back in time towards the 20th century, the peak moment in the development of the traditional technical installations.
