An approach over two teaching methods focused on pupils

  • Subiect: There are two methods focused on pupils which are already implemented in schools: the double entry journal method and the reflexive journal method. They stimulate the pupils interest in history and encourage their personal opinions. Pupils are advised to sustain their opinions, to use and talk about the acquired knowledge, to find similarities in other situations and previous experiences. The above methods have certain advantages, such as: the development of creativity, of self-conjidence, the improvement of the analysis ability and the possibility to describe and interpret a historical event from different points of view: the pupil's, the teacher's, the scientist's, the journalist's and the politician's. The disadvantage is that a long time is required both for the teachers to understand the answers and for the pupils to accomplish their school tasks.
